Product Review: Adidas Crosshatch Golf Pants

I have worn Adidas-branded apparel for a long time. I already own a few pair of Adidas golf pants but they are lightweight, breathable, and somewhat thin to be worn during the summer. I was looking for a new pair of pants that the wind would not cut straight through when it is cold.

I had my eye on the Adidas crosshatch golf pants for a while so I finally got a pair to try. After playing one round wearing them at Coppermill Golf Club while the temperature never got above 63° I have to say I absolutely love these pants.

Normally when the temperature is below 65° I would wear a base layer for extra warmth without adding to many layers. The colder the temperature the thicker the base layer is or I wear a thermal base layer if it is really cold. All day while playing yesterday I never felt like I should have had the base layer on my legs. At some point, my arms got cold as the wind cut through my sweater but the pants kept the wind off my legs enough I never felt a chill on them. The material is also just heavy enough that when the wind gusted the pant legs never moved. Something, as golfers, we experience quite often, even in as little a 5mph winds with some golf pants. These Adidas Golf pants seemed unfazed.

When walking around I noticed the pants kept the length and did not slide up or down my ankles as I took each step. This was consistent when sitting or squatting to line up my ball to putt. The length stayed put as the material allowed the pants to stretch instead of riding up exposing my ankles to the elements.

The stretchy material also allowed the pants to stay put during my golf swing. No twisting around the waist or pulling around the hips when rotating during my golf swing either. Many other brands I've worn have done that and I know many golfers can relate to what I'm saying. It's always a pain to have to adjust your pants after every swing because they pull and twist.

I really do love these pants and am disappointed I did not get a pair of them sooner. However, after getting home wanting to see if they come in more colors and to be able to link them here for your benefit these particular pants are not available on the Adidas website. This makes me think they may be a discontinued item I was able to find in my size or they may just be out of stock and not listed. All the Adidas Golf website shows for pants is their Ultimate 360 Golf Pant but in many different styles/cuts. The other reason I think they may be a discontinued item is they are available on Amazon at a price much less than the retail price on the sticker. This could be holiday pricing or it is limited stock pricing. I will try and reach out to Adidas Golf and see what the status is. Here is the link on Amazon if you'd like to check them out or try a pair for yourself. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B096HV8G15?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
