As many of you may already know, Golf Nola has been a part of the Cancer Crusaders' Annual golf tournament for a few years now. Not only for their worthy cause but because they put on one of, if not the, best charity golf tournaments in the area. The best part is that all the money they raise stays local for cancer research.
About Cancer Crusaders of Louisiana -
EVERY HOUR OF EVERY DAY, A PERSON DIES OF CANCER IN LOUISIANA.
Cancer Crusaders of Louisiana is a local, all-volunteer (over 600 members), nonprofit organization, which began in 1976 for the sole purpose of raising money for local cancer research. We are not affiliated with any other organization either locally or nationally. The money raised is divided evenly each year between LSUHSC Stanley S. Scott Cancer Center and Tulane Cancer Center to support cancer research. With the generous donations of our supporters, we have raised over $5 Million for cancer research since our inception.
This 2023 date marks the 16th Annual Cancer Crusaders Golf Tournament. For the past 15 years, Cancer Crusaders has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars through the golf tournament alone. This is in addition to the other events they have that raise money throughout the year.
The 2023 tournament will be played at Chateau Golf and Country Club on Monday, March 20th. There will be great food, guaranteed prizes, contests, a raffle, and more. This year the Cancer Crusaders golf tournament will be in Honor of O.J. Lacour, an avid golfer who recently passed away due to cancer.
Whether you want to play, sponsor, or volunteer you can be a part of Cancer Crusaders' success which makes this tournament such a great event to be a part of.
